You do not need an elaborate setting to make a good vehicle photograph. You need enough space, even light and the patience to show the whole car.

Start with the setting

Choose an uncluttered background. Soft daylight helps reveal bodywork without harsh reflections. Leave space around the vehicle and keep the horizon level.

Work through a consistent sequence

Photograph front and rear three-quarter views, both sides, the cockpit, seats, engine bay, luggage space, wheels and underside where it is safely accessible.

Photograph the imperfections

Include clear close-ups of visible damage, wear or corrosion. Show a wider view as well so the buyer can understand where each detail belongs.

Keep the colour honest

Avoid heavy filters or edits that hide condition. Include both overall views and details. Check that registration papers and other documents do not expose unnecessary personal information.
